Extend Your Coverage from Construction Materials to the Work of Contractors

Builders Risk Insurance is often used with a different term that describes what the insurance does - Course of Construction Insurance. Builders Risk Insurance covers a building, and typically all materials during construction. Protection can be extended for the work of individual contractors, architects and engineers. Optional coverage can often be added for costs not directly related to construction such as marketing, loss of income and delayed completion.

Builder's risk insurance is a special type of property insurance which indemnifies against damage to buildings while they are under construction.

Builders risk insurance (also known as course of construction or inland marine coverage) is defined as insurance that protects a person's or organization's insurable interest in materials, fixtures and/or equipment awaiting installation (or after installation) during the construction or renovation of a building or structure, should those items sustain physical loss or damage from a covered loss.
